Evaluation of Riveting Force Influence on the Quality of Riveted Joint of Aluminium Alloy EN AW - 6016

Joining technologies are very important aspects of production process in the automotive. Especially regarding use newly developed types materials (e.g. ultra high-strength steels or aluminium alloys), addition to welding technology, e.g. riveting adhesive bonding used. Submitted article evaluates effect force on final quality riveted joint when joining alloy EN AW-6016 (thickness 2 mm). The actual evaluation was carried out using a shear test, measuring hardness HV01 and deformation analysis specimen non-contact optical scanning (ATOS III Triple Scan system).
